With long daylight hours and lush summer scenery, this tour offers endless opportunities for stunning landscape photography. Whether you're drawn to seascapes, wildlife, or historic sites, Nova Scotia’s natural beauty will inspire every shot.
Our itinerary is subject to change, and is still in progress. We may switch up days, shoot orders, etc. to accommodate for changing weather and the pace of the group.
At this time of year, sunrises occur around 5:30 AM and sunsets occur around 9 PM. Summer means long days. We will likely not be shooting sunrise and sunset every day but have a mix of both. We will dine out each night before the sunset.

Check back in July 2026 for updated information.
We will update this with the flights your guides will be on or recommend. If you are coming from Boston, you will fly from Logan into Halifax. After we arrive and gather the group we will head to our accommodations.
With views of the Atlantic Ocean and the famous lighthouse, Tom's serves fresh, locally sourced dishes like lobster rolls, chowder, and scallops.
Now that you've had the opportunity to scope out your favorite perspectives, try it again but this time without the crowds.
After a morning break and breakfast, we will head out to explore Mahone Bay with it's 3 churches, Lunenberg and nearby Blue Rocks, known for it's charm and quaintness.
Explore along and inside the sea caves or "Ovens" of this unique natural park and trail.
After checking out from the hotel, we will spend the full day out and about.
Hall's Harbour is a picturesque fishing community located along the shore of the Bay of Fundy. Here the extreme difference in the tides becomes evident. Take your time photographing the many boats and colors.
Burntcoat is the exact site of the world’s highest tides. We will make sure to visit close to low tide so that we can explore the incredible compositions that are revealed.

This vineyard opened in the Gaspereau Valley in 2000. The Vineyard produces over 15,000 cases of wine per year and hosts over a quarter million guests from all over the world. This is the perfect place to have lunch, enjoy a tasting, and snap some photos in their characteristic British phone booth.
We will head to our next home base on Cape Breton Island. The drive from the Vineyard to where we are headed is 4 hours. We will make road stops along the way.
Today we will make our way along the Cabot Trail. Often referred to as one of the most scenic drives in the world, we will take our time driving the route with plenty of stops along pull-outs on the way. We show some of our favorite photo locations which will include beautiful beaches, mountains, and even rivers and waterfalls.
This hiking trail in Cape Breton Island National Park is not to be missed. This trail takes you along boardwalk paths overlooking the ocean.
It is mostly gravel with a few boardwalks. It’s a rather level trail with a slight incline which won’t be noticeable until you start hiking back. We will be doing the "out and back" hike, instead of the entire loop.
We will shoot sunset either along the Skyline Trail, or on the west coast of the scenic loop.
One of the more unique stops on this tour - Step back in time at the Fortress of Louisbourg, a reconstruction of an 18th-century fortified town on Cape Breton Island. Explore the cobblestone streets, where costumed interpreters bring history to life through engaging demonstrations of daily life, crafts, and military drills.
The entire drive from Louisbourg to Halifax is approximately 4.5 hours. We will make road stops along the way.
We should have time to revisit a favorite location before our departure.
Fly back home from Halifax. This will be updated soon. If you are not on the same flight as ours, please make sure you do not depart earlier than the flight listed here.
This tour is rated as moderate. We will be getting up for sunrises on some days, and staying late through the sunset on some evenings. In summer, the sunset isn’t until almost 9 PM. There will be some hiking along the Cabot Trail. These hikes are not strenuous, but they do require the ability to walk for a couple of hours, with breaks for photos and enjoying the scenery. Trails consists of gravel pathways, packed dirt, and boardwalks. Some areas may have exposed roots and rocks.
