The trip to Death Valley National Park with BlueHour's Paul Nguyen was fantastic - a big lifetime event for me. Paul was a perfect guide and teacher throughout. His prior extensive experience with the area, along with his expert photography and low key teaching skills made the trip both a great photography learning experience and a wonderful tour of the Park. Paul knew some great places to both visit and photograph and always made it fun with his good demeanor and guiding instincts. My fellow 4 other travelers (previously strangers) were great too. For anyone wanting to hone their photography skills and enjoy themselves touring a national park, Death Valley with BlueHour is a must do!

What a fantastic trip! It would be hard to figure out the best part: the incredible locations or our guide Paul. He was so well prepared in the selection of locations & timing (for the best lighting), and shared not only his technical knowledge but his deep appreciation for the natural world. He is a patient and enthusiast coach. My family and I will definitely be touring with him again.

I cannot put into words what a wonderful trip this was. Paul transported us into another world of natural beauty. Death Valley is a feast for the senses, and it inspired me to be my best photographer. Paul was a great teacher, so patient with all of us. His knowledge and guidance made the trip! The lodging was centrally located and the accommodations in general were perfect for our full schedule. I look forward to my next BlueHour tour!

Having been on a number of photography trips to far-flung places, I would rate this Death Valley trip as one of the best I've ever had. Paul Nguyen is an outstanding photographer and his suggestions not only improved my technical skills, but also my sense of composition. Unlike many travel photographers, Paul gives the individuals in the group his total attention. He is not using the trip to take his own photos. The difference with other experiences is palpable. The trip is well-scouted. As a result, the experiences include little known or unknown sites as well as the main points of interest. One day, we found ourselves in a snow-covered field of Joshua Trees with the mountains in the background. We photographed dunes, salt flats, badlands, and mountains. I'm just back and very happy. Thank you Paul!

The photo tour to Death Valley with Paul was fantastic. He scouted locations before the shoots and knew the routes and best spots for great pictures. He pivoted when weather or other factors altered the original plans and fit everything in. I am a novice photographer and there were also very experienced photographers in our group. Paul provided individual attention and tips to everyone. I highly recommend BlueHour and will book trips early going forward- as anyone who takes a tour will want to go again.
